ABOUT ELLA
Over the past 20 years Ella Jones has taught Acting, Drama, Speech & Drama, Public Speaking, Communication Skills, and GCSE Drama in various schools in Staffordshire, and has also produced and directed many productions. Ella is also an accomplished actor, presenter and voice-over artist with much professional experience.
Ella Jones graduated from the University of Manchester with a First Class Honours degree in Drama in July 2004. She then started a PGCE with Manchester Metropolitan University before being offered her first teaching role. Most recently, she has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Shakespeare with The Shakespeare Institute – University of Birmingham in 2022. She is a full member of the Society of Teachers of Speech & Drama.
Ella has been a LAMDA Examiner (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) since 2009. She is a Team Leader on the Examiner Panel and an Examiner Trainer. She is also the LAMDA Centre Representative for Stoke on Trent/Staffordshire.

N.B. Ella has an Enhanced DBS Certificate, undertakes Level 1 Safeguarding and Child Protection Training (KCSIE) annually and has completed and passed a basic First Aid course.
LAMDA Lessons – Newcastle under Lyme / Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire
The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art is one of the oldest and most well-respected Drama schools in the world. LAMDA believes in the transformative power of the dramatic arts and the value to society of creativity, innovation and authentic, confident communication. LAMDA examinations are globally recognised qualifications in acting, literature, musical theatre, public speaking and poetry.
EXAM RESULTS
Ella’s pupils’ results speak for themselves. With an 100% pass rate for LAMDA examinations (99% of those being Distinctions and the other 1% being high Merits) for exams from Introductory Level to Grade 8 and PCertLAM, and 100% pass rate at GCSE with 80% of her students receiving As and A*s (in the days before numerical grading).
DRAMA SCHOOL AUDITION LESSONS
All of Ella’s previous pupils who have auditioned for further education in the Performing Arts industry have been successful in their applications. Students have gone on to train at the National Youth Theatre, Central School of Speech and Drama, Mountview, LAMDA, RADA, University of Manchester, East 15 Acting School, Guildford School of Acting, New York Film Academy and many more well-renowned institutions; and then forged successful careers in the industry.
